
Tim Warren, Director
Tim Warren is the dynamic conductor of the Southern Nevada Community Band and a prominent figure in the Las Vegas music scene. He actively conducts and directs several esteemed ensembles, including the Vegas City Opera, the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra, the NEXTET new music ensemble, and the Southern Nevada Chamber Orchestra.
A passionate advocate for music education, Tim teaches at both UNLV and CSN, and serves as the Director of Bands and Orchestras at Palo Verde High School. His administrative expertise shines through in his leadership of professional development workshops and masterclasses, covering topics such as character development, collaborating with conductors, acting in music, audition preparation, sensory-friendly concert development, and enhancing English language skills in music and theatre classrooms.
With extensive experience as a stage and music director, Tim has led over 300 productions and has adjudicated for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. As a champion of new music, he has premiered numerous compositions and collaborates closely with contemporary composers.
Tim’s impressive resume includes conducting, directing, and serving as a clinician for theatre, band, and orchestra across various states, including New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. His guest conducting engagements span the globe, featuring work with the Zion Youth Symphony Orchestra, Opera Las Vegas, UNLV Opera/Conservatory Theatre, UNLV bands, Hochstein School of Music, Roberts Wesleyan College, Susquehanna University, and ensembles in France, Argentina, China, Australia, and Scandinavia.
Tim holds a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory, a Bachelor of Science from Roberts Wesleyan College, and is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at UNLV.
